Integrated resource management (IRM)   An integrated approach to achieve sustainable and balanced use of natural resources by taking into consideration environmental, economic, social and cultural factors. It recognizes the linkages between land, water and vegetation and provides comprehensive guidance to deal with natural resource management in an integrated way.
