Network (CPRNet)

Introduction

The Common Property Resource Management Network (CPRNet) is an international network open to practitioners, policy makers/managers, researchers and others interested in issues related to property rights and sustainable natural resource management. This includes, inter alia: (1) institutions and management of natural resources, (2) Community-based natural resource management, (3) Poverty-reduction strategies and Knowledge management, (4) Relations between property rights regimes, and (5) Traditional/local knowledge. CPRNet was established in 1995.

CPRNet and CBNRM Net

CPRNet and CBNRM Net have overlapping agendas (to review the relationship between common property resource management and community-based natural resource management, click here). CPRNet appears on CBNRM Net under a webhosting agreement.

Several types of knowledge, services and data relating to CPR management and CPRNet will be presented jointly with the CBNRM Net portal website, in particular in Sections Resources and Library. The following CPRNet resources, in particular, appear jointly with the CBNRM Net:
